[Jack likes to think that he and Ranni have developed a fantastic relationship. It's a simple one - they run together, they both feel rather pleasant for the rest of the day, and their respective caretakers are driven less up the wall by any high-energy shenanigans the two might otherwise get into. He's just finishing a loop around the trails that wind out through the lanes of houses when Ranni's gait falters for a second.
