ooc: Finally coming back from what turned out to be an incredibly long hiatus, sorry about that everyone. After some thinking and discussing I decided that what makes the most sense (I should have thought about this in advance I know) is that Lirael here has been mallynapped. This is her return home after that experience. She's fine, just a little confused since it's been weeks.

Action:

[ If anyone wants to wander into a slightly confused and disoriented Lirael, this is your chance. Break time and space and go crazy, she can be just about anywhere but eventually she does make her way back to house 44 and gets inside, at which point she immediately heads for the kitchen and starts rummaging around to find something to eat. She's a little too out of it to actually manage anything constructive though so she might need a hand. ]

[ Once the dust has cleared and Lirael has been fed and rested and had a bath and all of that good stuff, she makes one of her rare and usually brief video appearances because ugh showing her face to everyone is just so very awkward. Still, it felt like it might be a good idea since she's been gone for quite a while. ]

Uh, hello. I don't know if... [ If anyone noticed? That sounds a little rude, doesn't it? ] I mean... um... I've been gone for a while. Apparently.

I just wanted to say that I'm back now, and I'm fine. In case someone was... Just... In case.

[Well Queen of Awkward, you can have one moody housemate and her rather...odd looking dog. Keiko trots in first at the smell of someone unfamiliar rummaging through cabinets in the castle's kitchen and stops right in front of Lirael. The Shiba-Pug's head quirks to one side and she looks back at her mistress as Saori enters the room.]

Hello Lirael. I was beginning to wonder when you'd return.

[Not that Saori's been in the house for a while, herself. She's definitely not the happiest person right now but she spares her friend a tired smile.]

Are you feeling alright?

[ Lirael immediately sits down on the floor and offer the dog a hand to sniff, her love of animals breaking through the haze of mild confusion that has been clouding her mind.

Her eyes are on Saori however, and she manages to answer that tired little smile with a very similar one of her own. ]

I... think so?

[Keiko snuffles her puggy-nose and eventually comes around, licking the hand and generally making a nuisance of herself like always.

Saori, for her part, squats to look Lirael in the eyes]

You were kidnapped. [Not a question] Do you feel different? Is anything wrong with you?

[ Not a nuisance to Lirael, who is quite happy to provide pettings and scratchings and all such things. ]

I'm a little confused and disoriented... but other than that I think I'm fine.

I don't know... maybe?

[ Yes, that is what she'd meant, but it had seemed a little presumptuous to put in a transmission like that. Her housemates had probably wondered where she'd gone off to, but she's sort of assuming that most other people didn't even notice.

She's silly like that. ]

Maybe nobody would, but I've made some friends here... and apparently I've been gone for a while. So I just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm back.

[Max seems to be spending a lot of time at House 44 recently, for various reasons. So he's there right now in the kitchen of the house, baking ingredients spread out on the table as he works to make some of those cakes that Helios had enjoyed at the cultural fair.

He looks up when someone arrives, eyes widening as he recognises Lirael.]

Lirael? You're back! Thank god!

Oh, hi Max.

[ She sounds a little bewildered, which is a combination of not knowing how long she's gone and being a little unprepared for people actually... well, caring?

Not that she doesn't know that her friends like her, but there's still that part of her that can't quite grasp the logic of why it would matter to anyone whether she's around or not. ]

Hey. Are you alright? You were gone for ages. We were worried you'd... well. You know how things are.

[Jack likes to think that he and Ranni have developed a fantastic relationship. It's a simple one - they run together, they both feel rather pleasant for the rest of the day, and their respective caretakers are driven less up the wall by any high-energy shenanigans the two might otherwise get into. He's just finishing a loop around the trails that wind out through the lanes of houses when Ranni's gait falters for a second. Then she's pulling him off-course, barking delightedly, while he stumbles along behind and curses through demands to know just what's gotten into her.

Ranni doesn't pay him much mind, towing him onward until he spots the vaguely-familiar, long absent face of the person Ranni is still trying to drag him toward.]

Holy . . . Lirael?

[ Lirael smiles at seeing the happy dog and Jack both, and gets on her knees in preparation for a puppy attack.

It's nice to see a familiar face, it makes her feel a little more grounded because honestly she hadn't even been quite sure where she was going, only that there was somewhere in this general area that she ought to be going to. ]

There you are! Are you okay? Did ... they do anything to you?

I was pretty confused right when I got back, but since that passed I've been fine.

[Sabriel's attendance at the house-turned-castle hasn't been that great as of late but she does try to drop by every day when she's not sleeping there if only for a visit and to let Ranni play with the dragons. This time when she pushes the door open the shiba puppy lets out a high, excited squeak and dashes in for the dark haired young woman in the kitchen, eagerly giving Lirael's legs a fond nuzzle and cuddle as best as a dog can. For her part, Sabriel's expression breaks into a relieved, happy smile, eye patched be damned as she steps in quickly, calling out for her sister.]

Lirael- you're back!

[Hopefully you're not handling anything sharp or hot Lirael, because Sabriel's coming in with a hug.]

[ Ranni's attentions effectively ensures that Lirael isn't holding anything at all when Sabriel goes to embrace her, since she put everything down to pet the excited puppy.

She hugs Sabriel back, just as relieved as her sister is, really, because what if she had come back only to find Sabriel gone? ]

How long was I gone?

[Ranni happily gives Lirael's hands as many kisses as she can before Sabriel there embracing her sister, leaving the dog to step in an excited circle around the girls.]

Almost a month, just a little longer than I was.

[After a long moment she takes a step back, quickly checking over her sister for any off mallynap effects or injuries.]

Have you been back long? You must be tired.
